About the Artist

 

Hi!

Growing up in Rotterdam, Netherlands, I was always pulled in a creative direction by my very open-minded family. However, I had no strong inclination of what "craft" I wanted to make mine.

Thanks to my early education at a Waldorf school, I was exposed to an enormous variety of crafts, but nothing really clicked. It wasn't until I moved to Raleigh, NC that I found my creative outlet in designing jewelry. After working for a local custom jewelry designer for 8 years, I left this job in 2004 to stay home with my first child, and started my own jewelry business.

Almost 20 years later, I continue to design and create things that make me happy in my sunny Studio in Downtown Raleigh.
